Adult account holder and identity checks
Alcohol requests require an eligible account holder aged at least 18 and any applicable additional conditions. Onwayy applies Challenge 25: a recipient who appears under 25 must present accepted valid photo ID proving the required age. Appearing older does not remove a mandatory account-holder or identity check.
A personal handover at the confirmed address
The registered account holder must personally receive restricted products and satisfy the required identity and age checks. A neighbour, friend or family member cannot receive them instead. Alcohol cannot be left unattended or in a safe place.
Do not share the delivery PIN before the rider arrives. A PIN is not a substitute for required verification. If a required check fails, the restricted handover must be refused; the existing policies explain what happens next.

Make your request through the app
Check availability for your address, choose eligible products and review your request and complete price before paying. An eligible independent rider can accept, shop locally and deliver to the address you confirmed.
Availability depends on postcode coverage, rider availability, distance, order size, time of day and current operating conditions. If no suitable rider accepts or can complete the request, the order is cancelled and the full amount paid is refunded.

Questions about alcohol delivery
Which identification is ordinarily accepted?
The existing policy lists a valid passport, valid photocard driving licence or valid PASS-accredited proof-of-age card for ordinary doorstep proof of age. It must belong to the recipient and be reliably checkable. The account and verification details must match.
Can alcohol be substituted without my permission?
Any permitted alcohol substitute must comply with your preference, spending and quantity limits. A material increase in strength or volume, or another material product change, requires explicit approval and eligibility checks. A non-alcoholic product must not be replaced with alcohol.
