This policy explains cookies and similar technologies on the public Onwayy website. Website preferences are separate from device permissions or privacy settings in the Onwayy app. Open Cookie Settings in the footer at any time to revisit your choices.
1. Cookies and similar technologies
1. What they do
Cookies are small pieces of information a website can store in a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and scripts that access or record information on a device. Some support basic operation; others analyse use or measure advertising. The legal requirements depend on what a technology does, not simply whether it is called a cookie.
2. Current website implementation
Onwayy’s website uses Google Ads and Meta Pixel for optional advertising measurement, only after you allow Advertising / Marketing. It uses a browser local-storage record called onwayy-cookie-consent to remember your choices. Essential hosting and security infrastructure may also process technical requests as explained in the Privacy Policy. Enabling a new optional purpose or provider requires appropriate disclosure and consent before it runs.
2. Technology categories
3. Essential
Strictly necessary technologies may support security, sessions, core functionality, fraud protection and basic website operation. The consent preference record remembers your chosen settings so you are not repeatedly asked. Essential technologies remain active where necessary for the requested function; they must not be used as a label to conceal optional analytics or advertising.
4. Analytics
If enabled with the required consent, analytics may help understand page use, navigation, errors and service performance. These technologies are optional under this website’s consent approach. Rejecting analytics does not prevent access to the website’s information or legal pages. No analytics provider is currently loaded by Onwayy’s website code.
5. Advertising and marketing
Google Ads and Meta Pixel measure advertising campaigns and rider waitlist submissions after you allow Advertising / Marketing. Meta Pixel also records page views. These technologies are optional and remain off before consent or after rejection. The rider form’s conversion events do not include the name, email address, mobile number or other answers entered in the form. TikTok Pixel is not installed.
6. Provider disclosure
Google provides Google Ads and Meta provides Meta Pixel. When permitted, their scripts receive browser, device, page and event information for advertising measurement and may use advertising identifiers or cookies. Provider cookie lifetimes depend on the identifier and browser settings; Onwayy’s consent preference duration is described below. Google Analytics is not installed. A general reference in this policy does not itself grant consent to an undisclosed provider or materially new use.
4. Information, transfers and questions
11. Personal information
Where these technologies involve personal data, the Privacy Policy explains the relevant purposes, lawful bases, recipients, retention, international-transfer safeguards and rights. Consent to a browser technology does not remove the need for an appropriate data-protection basis or permit unlimited retention.
12. Contact and updates
Email support@onwayy.uk with cookie or privacy questions. We may update this policy when the website changes and will seek a new choice where required. You may also raise a privacy complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office. The effective date above identifies this publication.
